Somewhere in the middle there is always a small crisis. A bridesmaid hates her part, a grandmother wants to change everything, someone forgot earrings. Those moments are part of the job, and handling them calmly is most of what you are paying a fifteen-year veteran for.
The best moment is the one nobody photographs: the bride sitting alone in front of a mirror for about ninety seconds, deciding that yes, this is her. Then we pin the last piece, hand her a glass, and open the door.
