Start with the dates. WEF competition weeks run through the height of wedding season, which means venues, photographers, and hair artists are all in demand at once. Book your date the moment you have a contract. We take one bride per weekend, and Wellington Saturdays in February are gone by September.
The weather in season is genuinely beautiful: dry, cool, low humidity. Hair styled in January holds without a single adjustment, and that is rare enough in Florida that we plan previews in this window whenever possible so brides can see a style at its best.
Out of season is a different conversation. May through September in Wellington means heat, afternoon storms, and humidity. styles need a smoothing base, a firm anchor, and a rain plan written down rather than improvised.
The look should match the town. Wellington brides tend toward polished but unfussy: a smooth blowout, a low chignon, a half-up with real movement. Not much ornament. The horses are the spectacle; you do not need to compete.
