I want to tell you about the best piece of advice I have ever given a bride, and it had nothing to do with hair.
Get a hotel room for the wedding night that you can walk to. Not drive. Walk.
Here is why this belongs in a hair conversation. The end of the night is when hair takes its worst damage. Brides fall asleep in pins, on a pillow that is not silk, after eight hours of product and sweat and dancing. They wake up with a knot that takes an hour to detangle and sometimes takes a repair appointment with it.
If you can walk to your room, you can take three minutes before sleep. Pull the pins out yourself, gently, one at a time, not in a clump. Loosen any braid. Run fingers through, not a brush. And sleep on whatever you have, ideally a silk pillowcase, which is worth packing for this reason alone.
If your hair has extensions, those three minutes matter more. Sleep with it loose and dry, never wet. A wet bond overnight is a bond that will loosen.
In the morning, wash with sulfate-free shampoo, condition from mid-shaft down, and do not panic at the texture. Wedding hair looks wild the next day. That is normal and it is not damage.
A small habit that protects an expensive investment. inquire if you want the full after-wedding care sheet. Bridal hair is $1,000 with preview, and the investment page covers everything.
