Something changes the week your invitation says your wedding is happening. Brides who have been relaxed for a year suddenly want a different hairstyle, a different veil, and sometimes a different dress. I have seen it hundreds of times, and here is what I tell them.
First, the panic is normal and it is not information. It is adrenaline looking for a job. The style you chose at your preview was chosen by you, in a clear moment, with photographs to prove it worked.
Second, there are exactly three things worth changing in the final two weeks. A veil, because it is removable and low risk. An accessory, same reason. And the finish, meaning more or less shine, which is a five minute adjustment. Everything else, particularly shape and length, is a change that risks the thing you already know works.
Third, the requests I will always accommodate: if something genuinely does not feel like you, say so. I would rather rebuild a front section on the morning than have you spend the day feeling like someone else. That conversation is free and it is the reason to book an artist who only has one bride that weekend.
What I will push back on: a complete style change the morning of, or a haircut in the final week. Both introduce variables that cannot be tested, and a wedding morning is the worst possible time to discover a new result.
