Florida's winter is our dry season — the humidity that plagues us June through October disappears from December to March, and hair adapted to moist air suddenly finds itself in desert air. The fix list, in order of impact: hydration first — your winter wash routine changes: space washes out one more day, and add a weekly mask through dry season; a leave-in cream on mid-lengths and ends seals moisture in. Styling product switches from summer's grip sprays to winter's creme-based stylers — a light finishing cream on the surface grounds flyaways without weight.
The fabric suspects, the honest list: synthetics are static's best friends — winter wardrobes of velvet, fleece, and satin-trimmed everything create charge on contact. A silk or silk-lined anything (pillowcase, scarf, robe) prevents the morning snarl; brides getting married in dry season sleep on silk the night before, always.
The wedding-morning application, since this is a bridal journal: dry-season brides get a finishing standard tuned for the air — hydrating leave-in at the base of every style, creme finishes over sprays, and updos built slightly softer because the air isn't going to relax them for you.
