A Preview You Did Not Love: How to Fix It in One Conversation

It is the most quietly awkward part of a wedding morning: the second trial. You did a preview, you did not love it, and now you have to say so without offending anyone. Here is how to handle it, because this happens more often than brides admit and it is completely normal.

First, separate the categories. Was the problem the style, the technique, or the direction? If the shape was wrong, that is a design conversation. If the shape was right but the finish was too tight or too loose, that is calibration. If it looked exactly like the photo you brought and you still did not like it, that is information about your own preferences, and it is the most useful information of all.

Second, say the specific thing, not a feeling. I feel unsure is hard to act on. The front is too flat, or the back is too heavy, or I wanted more movement at the face, is something we can fix in ten minutes. Vague dissatisfaction turns into a second preview that repeats the same problem.

Third, bring new references. If the first round did not land, the photos you chose were probably not the ones you actually wanted. Show us what you saved most recently, even if it feels inconsistent with the first set.

Fourth, give it a day. Some brides dislike a preview style simply because it is unfamiliar. Wear something similar for an hour at home, look at it in a mirror, and decide with fresh eyes.
