A November bride in South Florida is working with the best weather of the year and the worst assumption about it. Everyone plans for heat. Almost nobody plans for the fact that November mornings can be sixty-two degrees and dry, then seventy-eight and humid by noon.
That swing matters for hair. Dry, cool morning air makes hair behave beautifully: smooth, static-free, easy to style. Then the humidity arrives during portraits and the surface texture changes. A style that looked glassy at 9am looks slightly fuller at 1pm. Usually that's a gift. On very fine hair it can mean the volume you built collapses rather than expands.
The fix is prep. On dry mornings I use less smoothing product and more structural support at the root. I want hair that has somewhere to go when the moisture arrives.
November light is the other gift. The sun sits low all day, so portraits at 3pm look like golden hour anywhere else. That's why November is the busiest wedding month in Palm Beach County, and why my calendar fills first for it.
Practical notes for a November wedding: sunset is early, around 5:30, so a 4:00 ceremony means most portraits happen after the light softens. Plan the schedule so the bride is finished by 3:15. And keep a light cardigan or wrap in the getting-ready room, because the early hours are genuinely cool and bridesmaids in robes get cold, which slows everything down.
November is the month I recommend most often. If it's yours, inquire early, and our instant pricing tool shows what the season costs.
