Wedding Hair in Marathon: The Keys Without the Circus

Marathon sits in the middle of the Keys, which makes it the practical choice for a destination wedding that wants both water and convenience. Resorts with marinas, tiki bars, sunset sails, and a guest list that can fly into Key West or Miami and drive. It is the Keys without the Key West circus.

Hair here is coastal casual elevated. A beachy wave set with a little polish. A braided crown that survives a boat ride. A low bun with a soft front and a flower tucked at the side. We keep the structure serious and the surface relaxed, which is the only combination that works in salt air.

Boat events are the wildcard. If you are doing a sunset sail or a snorkel morning, hair needs to survive wind at speed and possibly water. For sails, we build a firm braided base and skip the veil. For anything involving swimming, we plan a shower and a full reset rather than trying to salvage a style, and that means booking time rather than hoping.

Marathon's venues are spread out, so travel between the getting-ready room and the ceremony site is real. We confirm driving times in advance and build them into the timeline. On the islands, a fifteen-minute drive can become thirty-five in season, especially around sunset when everyone is heading to the water.

For a Keys weekend, most brides book the Bride Experience at $1,000, party hair at $225 per person, and welcome-dinner styling at $225 per person per service. Party makeup is $225 per person, and a day-after portrait session is $500. Travel is quoted separately.

Details live on the investment page. If Marathon is on your list, inquire with your weekend dates and we will confirm whether we are available to travel.
