The mar-a-Lago estate is unlike any other venue I work, and the hair brief reflects it: grand, formal, and photographed constantly. It is a place where the room is the star and the bride has to hold her own beside it.
What works here is architecture. Strong silhouettes, clean lines, deliberate volume at the crown. A soft, undecided style gets swallowed by the scale of the rooms and the density of the detail in them. Think of the hair as a shape first and a texture second.
The light is warm and golden in most of the public rooms, which flatters smooth finishes and rich, deep hair color. It also means every pin shows, so clean sections matter more here than almost anywhere else. I check the front and the nape under bright light before a bride leaves the chair.
Logistics are significant. The property is large, security is real, and vendor access requires advance arrangements. I confirm arrival times and access instructions a week out, and I build thirty minutes of buffer that I never mention to the bride.
The party tends to be formal and larger than average, which usually means two artists. Nine services with two chairs finishes in about two and a half hours, and it keeps the bride out of a robe by four o'clock.
