The brief here is understated elegance. These are old-money enclaves where looking flashy is the only real mistake. A soft low chignon, a clean blowout, a simple half-up. Nothing that announces itself. The house is the statement; you are the guest of honor.
The technical factor is the river. Hobe Sound sits on the intracoastal with no ocean buffer, and the breeze comes off the water for most of the day. Pinned shapes are the answer, and I plan a controlled front for outdoor ceremonies. The upside is that the light off the water at five o'clock is extraordinary, and it flatters almost anything.
Logistics are the real consideration. Jupiter Island is a longer drive than brides expect, and vendor access through private gates requires advance arrangements. I confirm gate access a week out and build in extra time. Private island weddings also often mean a house without a proper styling room, so plan for light and power.
One local note: these weddings tend to be intimate, which means your hair is photographed close. Clean sections matter more than volume, and the front of the style is the whole job.
