The Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is the most polished modern property on the island, and its brides tend to want hair that matches: clean, contemporary, and quietly expensive. It is a different brief from the historic clubs, and I enjoy the shift.
The beach is the reason most couples choose it, and the beach is where the hair decision gets made. Oceanfront ceremonies here mean wind, salt, and hard afternoon light. Pinned shapes, controlled fronts, and a light hand with product. The resort's beach setup is beautiful and completely exposed, so there is no architectural shelter to hide behind.
If your ceremony is on the sand and your reception is in the ballroom, plan a reset between. The resort is well organized enough to make ten minutes possible in a suite, and that ten minutes is worth more than any amount of extra hold product.
The ballroom itself is bright and contemporary, which flatters smooth finishes and reveals uneven texture. I am more careful than usual about a consistent wave pattern and a clean part here, because that room has nowhere to hide.
For the party, the resort's getting-ready spaces are excellent: good light, good mirrors, enough room for two chairs. A party of eight is comfortable with two artists, which is exactly the threshold where a second joins at seven or more hair services.
