There is a version of bridal hair that tries very hard, and it usually happens when a bride has looked at too many inspiration boards and found forty things she loves that do not belong in the same hairstyle. Braid, veil, flowers, tendrils, hair jewelry, a low chignon, and a wave all at once is not a look. It is an argument.
The brides whose photographs I love most, five and ten years later, almost always made one decision and committed. One silhouette. One texture. One statement piece, if any.
So here is how I help brides choose. If the hair is the feature, the accessories stay quiet. A beautiful braided updo with a single pearl pin will outlive a style wearing five elements. If the accessory is the feature, the hair becomes the frame: smooth, simple, beautifully finished.
Plants are the same. Fresh flowers in hair are gorgeous in Florida, and they need to match the florals in the room, not compete. Peonies photographed at 4 p.m. do not look like peonies at 10 p.m. If your flowers are delicate, plan for a swap or skip the hair flowers.
The single most useful question I ask is what your dress is doing. Strapless with a strong neckline wants hair up. High neck wants a low, soft shape. Backless wants every strand considered, because the photograph is the back.
Restraint is not boring. It is what makes a bridal portrait unmistakably you.
When you inquire, your preview is where we choose. Bride hair is $1,000 including that preview, and full investment details are on the site.
