Keratin tip extensions are attached strand by strand with a small bond, no heat, no glue on the scalp, no tension across a wide section. Because the weight is distributed across hundreds of individual bonds, no single point carries much load. That is the whole reason the method exists.
Where damage actually happens: tape-ins applied too high and too tight, clip-ins worn daily for years at the same placement, and any method left in too long past its service interval. I have seen real traction damage, and in almost every case it came from an install that was rushed or a removal that was skipped.
What protects you is boring and reliable. Install ten days to six weeks before the wedding, never the day before. Follow the wash schedule, which is less often than you are used to. Never brush wet. Sleep with it loosely tied on a silk pillowcase. Book the removal, which is a proper appointment with a dissolving solution, not something to attempt with a comb at home.
And be honest about your hair's condition. If your hair is already compromised from bleach, heat, or a recent chemical process, extensions add weight to something that is not strong enough to carry it.
