My recommendation is almost always a confident, modern shape. A sleek low pony with a wrapped base and a single sculptural pin. A smooth blowout with a deep part and volume at one temple. A low chignon with a deliberately loose front. These read sophisticated at close range, which is what a room this size demands, since everyone will be within six feet of you all evening.
Close range changes the finishing standard. In a small dining room, guests see the back of your head for three hours. Loose ends, visible pins, and a dull finish are all noticeable. So I spend the extra fifteen minutes on the nape and the perimeter, and I finish with a light oil rather than a heavy spray.
Logistics are simple and short. A small party means I can be generous with time, and I always ask whether the bride would rather be styled at home or at a hotel. For Club Colette, home is often better: calmer, better light, and no lobby traffic.
