Every wedding season someone asks me whether I can do a bride and not her party, and whether that is rude. It is not rude. It is one of the smartest budget decisions a bride can make, and I want to make the case for it properly.
The bride-only booking is exactly what it sounds like: your hair, styled by me, on your wedding morning, without the party. What you get is a slower, quieter appointment with my full attention, no clock pressure from six other heads, and a price that reflects one service.
Who it suits. Brides with a small guest list. Brides whose party is happy to do their own hair. Brides marrying at a courthouse or in a family backyard. Brides who would rather spend the money on extensions or a second artist for mothers than on six bridesmaid styles.
The honest tradeoff: your party does their own hair, which is fine for waves and simple updos and not fine for anything structural. Also, a bride alone at eight in the morning gets a very quiet room, which some brides love and some find strange.
A middle path I often suggest: bride plus mothers, skip the bridesmaids. Mothers are genuinely difficult to self-style and are in every formal photograph. Bridesmaids are usually capable, especially with a group chat and one confident friend.
