Second, build the shape with heat in sections that are smaller than you think. Third, anchor the finished wave with pins while it cools, which is the single most effective trick I know and takes ninety extra seconds.

Fourth, and this is the one brides resist: consider extensions. Half a pack of hand-tied wefts gives fine hair body and memory at the same time, and the volume holds because the structure is not relying on your natural density. For a fine-haired bride who wants soft waves that last past dinner, extensions are the honest answer, not a sales pitch.

What I will not do is over-spray. Hold spray on fine hair creates weight and a stiff cast, and then the wave falls anyway, just less gracefully.
