The problem: you booked a bridal preview, your artist created something you did not love, and now you have to decide whether to speak up, change artists, or just live with it.

Living with it is the worst option and also the most common. Brides are polite. They say "it's beautiful" with a slightly flat voice, and the artist, who has done this three hundred times, hears the flatness and does not know what to do about it.

The solution starts with naming one thing. Not "I don't like it," which gives me nothing to work with. Try: "the front feels too tight to my head," or "the volume is more than I pictured," or "I wanted it softer at the ear." One specific, physical observation gets you further than a feeling.

Second, bring the photo again and point at the exact difference. Usually the gap is one element, not the whole style. A bride who wanted an updo ends up with a half-up and cannot say why it is wrong, and the reason is that the reference had height at the crown and hers is flat.

Third, and this is the part most artists will not say: the preview is a rehearsal, not a performance. It is supposed to be imperfect. If you leave with a clear note about what to change, the appointment worked.

Fourth, if you genuinely do not trust the artist after the preview, change artists now. That is allowed. It is much better in month three than wedding week.
