I have done dozens of mornings in those suites.
The architecture has a specific effect on how a bride should look. Spanish colonial, warm stucco, deep shade in the courtyard, and light that comes in beautiful and uneven through the windows. Soft, romantic hair belongs here. Tight sleek styles fight the building.
Practical detail that surprises brides: the courtyard is a gift. It is one of the few places on the island where you can photograph the finished look in genuine natural light before the ceremony, and it is shaded enough that you are not squinting. I build in ten minutes for that if the photographer wants it.
Suite size is the other consideration. Bridal suites at an older property are charming and often not large, so I plan for a compact setup and keep the kit organized. For parties of six or more, the suite gets crowded quickly. At seven or more hair services I bring a second artist so two people can work in parallel.
